WWE star issues warning to Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in epic rant after SmackDown
WWE Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Grayson Waller have been at odds with #DIY for weeks. Their rivalry has become extremely personal, and Tommaso Ciampa has now issued a warning to A-Town Down Under.
This week on SmackDown, #DIY was backstage with Austin Theory. They were trying to convince Theory that Grayson Waller didn't care about his well-being. Meanwhile, Waller attacked Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa before exiting with his tag team partner.
Byron Saxton caught up with #DIY during The SmackDown Lowdown. Johnny Gargano claimed they had each other's backs, and no team had been through the ups and downs in WWE like them.
"No team on this planet, especially not Austin Theory and Grayson Waller have been through what we have. They don't have the experience. I know I can trust this guy. I know now, he has my back." Gargano continued, "We have each other's backs. We did all this together. It doesn't work any other way."
Tommaso Ciampa then fired shots at the champs, claiming he and Gargano had their backs against the wall and would come out swinging next week. He warned Theory and Waller that #DIY was taking the title next week.
"For the last three years, Byron, we've come up short time and time again. So you ask us how do we feel? We feel like our da*n backs are against the wall. We feel like we've proven so much, yet we have so much more to prove. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, you look us in the eyes and you listen to what we're saying. This ain't about you. Those tag team titles are ours. Toronto, it's our moment." [1:54 - 2:53]
Austin Theory and Grayson Waller will defend the title next week
The WWE Tag Team Championship will be on the line next week on SmackDown, as the team of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa face the current champions, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.
Theory and Waller have not been on the same page of late, with the former taking the hits for some of the latter's bad decisions. However, A-Town Down Under will look to retain their gold against #DIY.
Johnny Gargano also has a history with Theory, and he has been trying to convince the former United States Champion that Waller is just using him. It will be interesting to see which tandem comes out on top during the high-voltage clash next week on SmackDown.
