WWE star IYO SKY breaks silence after epic win at Marigold Summer Destiny

Former WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY made a triumphant return to the Japanese wrestling scene after six years. Following her triumph, the star took to social media to share her reaction post-match.

The Genius of The Sky went head-to-head with Utami Hayashishita at the 2024 Marigold Summer Destiny event on July 13. The two women pushed each other to the limit, showcasing a true testament to the competitive spirit. However, in the closing moments, the Damage CTRL member pinned her opponent after nailing a Piledriver and a Moonsault.

In a heartfelt post on X (Twitter), IYO SKY broke her silence after the match. She thanked the Marigold promotion for the chance to compete and assured fans that she'd keep wrestling around the globe.

"Thank you, #pw_mg. I will continue to fly around the world," she wrote.

The Damage CTRL member lost her Women's Championship to Bayley at this year's WrestleMania. She and her stablemates were moved to Monday Night RAW during the 2024 Draft.

A top star was spotted with IYO SKY outside of the WWE

AJ Styles locked horns against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event last month. However, he was forced to say "I Quit" after The American Nightmare unleashed fury on him.

The Phenomenal One was signed to NJPW before his debut in the Stamford-based promotion. Along with IYO SKY, Styles also returned to Japan to compete with Naomichi Marufuji at Pro Wrestling NOAH Destination.

The Genius of The Sky and the former Bullet Club member were spotted together before their high-profile matches. Later, AJ Styles secured a win against Marufuji.

Since his loss to Rhodes, the 47-year-old hasn't been seen on WWE TV. It will be interesting to see if the legendary wrestler features on SmackDown in the coming weeks.
