WWE star could join The Rock, John Cena and Ronda Rousey with potential historic record-breaking night at Clash at the Castle

A legendary WWE star could join a rare crop of superstars like The Rock, John Cena and Ronda Rousey in the history books at Clash at the Castle: Scotland. AJ Styles has a chance to become the Undisputed WWE Champion in Scotland if he beats Cody Rhodes in an "I Quit" Match.

According to Wrestling Stats & Info, a fan account on X, The Phenomenal One can become the fourth superstar in history to win the championship in an "I Quit" Match. The Rock defeated Mankind in the 1999 Royal Rumble, while Cena made Randy Orton submit at Breaking Point 2009 and Rousey beat Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania Backlash two years ago.

The Rock and John Cena both won the WWE Championship, while Ronda Rousey took home the SmackDown Women's Championship. AJ Styles will need to be at his best if he wants to make Cody Rhodes quit and join this elite group of champions.

The same account also noted that if Styles does manage to pull off this feat despite the odds against him, he will make history as the fourth superstar to win a world championship outside the United States twice. He already won the WWE Championship in Manchester, England, back in 2017.

The other three superstars to do it are Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins and John Cena. Lesnar did it both times in Saudi Arabia, Rollins in Saudi Arabia and Canada, and Cena won in Canada twice.

Is AJ Styles the heavy underdog at WWE Clash at the Castle?

Despite seemingly playing mind games with Cody Rhodes the past couple of weeks, AJ Styles remain the underdog in their "I Quit" Match at Clash at the Castle in Scotland, as far as the bookies are concerned. Styles is a +900 underdog to beat The American Nightmare, who is a -3000 favorite, as per Fightful.

The odds are stacked against Styles given that Rhodes' journey to the title took two years to complete. The Rock and Roman Reigns are also waiting on the wings to get their revenge on their bitter rival.

Nevertheless, Styles and Rhodes have great chemistry, as evidenced by their classic match at Backlash: France. They could top it since their bout this Saturday in Glasgow, Scotland has only one rule – to make their opponent say the words "I Quit."
