WWE star jumps to Kevin Owens' defense amid damaging Crown Jewel accusationÂ
A WWE star came to the defense of Kevin Owens after he made a major accusation against his rivals ahead of Crown Jewel. The Prizefighter is scheduled to battle Randy Orton in a singles match at the premium live event today in Saudi Arabia.
Ahead of Crown Jewel, Owens was interviewed by Cathy Kelley, and he touched upon the dune buggy accident that the two had been in, a few days ago. The veteran suggested that Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes possibly paid off the driver and Kelley responded to the claim on social media.
Kelley took to X (fka Twitter) and noted that Owens' first instinct was to protect her during the accident, suggesting that he could be right about his accusations about the driver being paid off.
"Whatever you think about @FightOwensFight, his first instinct was to protect me. If his instinct says someone paid off the driver…," she said.

Owens turned heel last month after the conclusion of WWE Bad Blood and attacked Cody Rhodes in the parking lot. He followed it up with an attack on Randy Orton on the October 11 edition of SmackDown and also bashed The Legend Killer with a chair following the main event of last night's go-home episode of the blue brand before Crown Jewel.
Former WWE manager suggests interesting rivalry for Kevin Owens
Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell recently pitched the idea of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn reigniting their rivalry on WWE television.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Mantell claimed that a storyline between Owens and Zayn still had the potential to capture the interest of wrestling fans. The veteran added that wrestling fans have great memories and haven't forgotten about the rivalry.
"Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, that's still got life in it. They can go back to that, they didn't wear it out. They cut it, really, a little bit short but they can always go back to that. That's what bookers are always looking forward to when they separate two guys. I've said this a thousand times on this show. Wrestling fans have long memories and they don't forget," Dutch Mantell said. [49:08 - 49:41]

Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin earlier this year to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. It will be fascinating to see what the promotion has planned for the former Universal Champion moving forward.
