WWE star Kofi Kingston breaks silence after RAW

This week's WWE RAW did not go as expected for The New Day's Kofi Kingston and his tag team partner, Xavier Woods. Today, the former WWE Champion broke his silence about the events that transpired on WWE's flagship show.

Woods and Kingston turned heel on Big E and kicked him out of The New Day during the group's 10th-anniversary celebration on the December 2, 2024, installment of the red brand. However, the duo was not welcomed on this week's Monday Night RAW, as backstage employees ignored and refused to speak with them following their actions towards E last week.

When The New Day appeared in the ring, they were met with a chorus of boos from the crowd at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. Kingston and Woods eventually walked out of RAW without getting a chance to speak due to the intense negative reaction from the WWE Universe.

Kofi Kingston voiced his disappointment on X (fka Twitter), criticizing the people of Wichita, Kansas, for their response on the Monday Night Show. The 43-year-old veteran felt that if he and Woods were given a chance to explain, then fans would change their minds.

"I’m still so incredibly disappointed in the people of Wichita, Kansas for not letting us speak. I’m also disappointed in the WWE Universe for your lack of sympathy on social media platforms. I really think that if you’d just hear us out, you’d change your minds," he wrote.

WWE star publicly apologizes to Kofi Kingston

Not long ago, it was Karrion Kross who planted seeds of doubt in Xavier Woods' mind and attempted to turn him heel and part ways with The New Day. Ironically, it was both Kingston and Woods who ultimately embraced the dark side.

Taking to X, The Final Testament leader apologized to Kofi Kingston, admitting that he had misjudged him and acknowledging The New Day's inspiring story of brotherhood.

"I woke up this morning with a bit of guilt, I just want to take a moment to do this publicly and apologize to @TrueKofi. I had him all wrong. Right now is a great time to look inwards for everyone to do the same. Him and @AustinCreedWins banning together as brothers against the world takes bravery that most people don’t have. They have an incredibly inspiring story," he wrote.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods now that Big E is no longer with The New Day.
