WWE star loses first singles match back in over 10 months
A WWE star just competed in her first singles match in 10 months. However, things didn't go her way as she suffered a major loss.
Cora Jade, the star in question, was once touted as the future of NXT's women's division. Sadly, she suffered a torn ACL during a live event match against Lyra Valkyria which derailed her career and took her out of action for several months. Her last TV singles match was against Gigi Dolin in January 2024.
Jade finally returned on the October 1 episode of NXT and helped Roxanne Perez retain her title against Giulia, reigniting their friendship. Since then, Cora has competed in two tag matches. She teamed up with Perez to face Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia at NXT Halloween Havoc 2024.
Last week on WWE NXT, Cora Jade and Perez joined Fatal Influence to face the team of Kelani Jordan, Giulia, Jordynne Grace, Stephanie Vaquer, and Zaria. However, she has not competed in a televised singles match in 10 months since the January 9 episode of NXT when she faced Gigi Dolin.
Tonight on WWE NXT, Cora Jade took on Sol Ruca in a qualifying match for the Iron Survivor Challenge. Despite her best efforts, Jade couldn't pick up the win and qualify for the match at Deadline.
It will be interesting to see whether Cora Jade can get back to winning ways soon.
