Former WWE writer claims Naomi confused him on a recent episode of SmackDown

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo wondered why Naomi was happy during a recent episode of WWE SmackDown.

The former TNA star squared off with Bayley on the September 27 edition of the blue brand. The Role Model picked up the victory and earned a title shot against Nia Jax at Bad Blood as a result. The Irresistible Force defeated Bayley at the Premium Live Event earlier this month to retain her title.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown show, Russo commented on the veteran hugging Bayley after the match. He noted that Naomi had just lost her title shot and should not be shown in good spirits after losing a major opportunity.

"Can someone explain to me what Naomi was so happy about? She just lost a title shot. Bro, I thought we were supposed to be competitors here. I thought we all wanted to be the champion. She just lost her title shot, and she is smiling and hugging Bayley." [From 16:16 to 16:41]
