WWE star Piper Niven responds to disrespectful fan calling her "ugly"
Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Piper Niven recently broke her on-screen character and replied to a hateful comment by an X user, who seemingly referred to her as ugly ahead of the SmackDown Superstar's massive tag bout at Crown Jewel 2024.
During the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis announced a massive title match for the Crown Jewel PLE. Reigning Women's Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will defend their gold in a Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Match against Damage CTRL (IYO SKY and Kairi Sane), Piper Niven and Chelsea Green, and The Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson).
An X user later quoted the match card picture and said that there was no “ugly” individual in this poster. Another handle commented and attached a zoom-in picture of Niven and wrote “hmmmm,” indirectly calling her ugly.
Niven quoted the post and shared a couple of no-make-up pictures of herself and slammed the online critic for crossing the line.
“Is the ugly in the room with us? Other than your ugly comment. So is it that you’re fatphobic, or you don’t like Piper’s 'butch' wounded feminine aesthetic? Because you’re on crack if you don’t think Kim is a natural beauty, because I am!'' Niven wrote.
A WWE legend urges WWE to push Piper Niven
While speaking on SportsKeeda Wrestling’s BroDown on Backstage Pass, former WWE writer Vince Russo questioned the 33-year-old's booking in the Stamford-based promotion after the Scottish star's defeat against Lash Legend on the latest edition of the blue brand.
Russo said that the former Women’s Tag Team Champion ''has personality'' and the company's ''gotta feed her.''
"I don't know what Piper Niven jobs to everybody. I have no idea. I wish I was writing for Piper. With what they've given her, you can see personality there. This girl has personality; you gotta feed her. You gotta give her material. This is the biggest issue I have with that," he said.
It will be interesting to see if Niven and Chelsea Green manage to win the Women’s Tag Team Title at Crown Jewel 2024.
