WWE star reacts after Austin Theory gets knocked out on SmackDown

Austin Theory found himself on the receiving end of a lightning-fast punch on the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The former WWE Tag Team Champion was hit in the face and knocked down by the American professional boxer, Terence Crawford. Reacting to this, his tag team partner, Grayson Waller, sent a message to the boxer following SmackDown.

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory walked into the arena and called Terence Crawford out to apologize to them. Notably, the 36-year-old boxer handed a chair to Cody Rhodes to defend himself last week when Theory and Waller tried to gang up on him.

When Crawford did walk into the ring, Waller, who was the primary man talking smack, seemed to have changed his mind. He warned Terence that if he took one more step towards him, his partner Theory would beat him up. Responding to this, the 36-year-old floored Austin in one punch, as Waller ran away. After the show, The Moment Maker shared a tweet on X/Twitter.

"Smart move not touching me @terencecrawford, would have been a tough look getting dropped a week before your big fight. Also huge shoutout to @_Theory1! Went toe to toe with Tyson Fury and now Terence Crawford. This man ain’t afraid of nobody #SmackDown," Grayson Waller shared.

Check out his tweet below:

Waller praised his tag team partner in the tweet as well. However, it looks like another attempt by him to cover up his move of using Theory as a human shield once again.

WWE called out Grayson Waller for his self-centeredness

Last week, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller squared off against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. However, they failed to win against the makeshift duo of KO and The American Nightmare. To make things worse, Waller pushed Theory straight into a Cody Cutter and was called out by the Stamford-based promotion on Instagram:

"You’re leaving your boy out to dry, @graysonwallerwwe 😬"

It would be interesting to see if Austin Theory gets to know about the true nature of his teammate and takes some action on it.
