WWE star who recently quit the company sends message after attacking CM Punk on SmackDown
A WWE star sent a message after attacking CM Punk on SmackDown. This star recently quit the company.
The saga between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk has been going on for several months. The stars have been embroiled in a heated rivalry after Punk got injured during the Royal Rumble match this year. The stars have continuously taken shots at each other. Punk cost Drew McIntyre the chance to win the World Heavyweight Championship after attacking the latter in his home country of Scotland during Clash at the Castle. This prompted McIntyre to announce on RAW that he was quitting WWE and seemingly walked out of the company.
However, Drew McIntyre attacked Punk backstage on SmackDown and dragged his bloody body to the ring. The Straight Edge star was carried off on a stretcher.
Following this assault, McIntyre took to social media to share a photo of a bloodied Homelander from the show The Boys. It's safe to say that the star was pleased with the attack after Punk cost him the chance to win the world title.
