WWE star returns after 2 years despite controversial exit; emotional reunion following heartbreaking promo

A former WWE star made a surprise return to the company on the latest episode of NXT and reunited with his former tag team partner Wes Lee. The person in question is Zachary Wentz, formerly known as Nash Carter.

The two stars competed as MSK on the developmental brand from 2020 to 2022. They held the NXT Tag Team Championship twice during their run. However, Zachary Wentz was released from his contract during their second reign. He was controversially fired from WWE after his ex-wife Kimber Lee made abuse allegations against him.

The tag titles were officially vacated after Wentz's departure. However, on NXT this week, Wes Lee cut an emotional promo in the ring where he teased that he would be leaving after he failed to win the North American Championship at NXT Heatwave.

TNA wrestlers Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz then made a surprise appearance, and the three stars reunited in the ring after two years. They convinced Wes Lee not to leave.
