WWE star says he stopped Sheamus from "embarrassing himself;" says he can step aside
The May 6, 2024, episode of WWE RAW saw Gunther overcome Sheamus in the first round of the King of the Ring Tournament. The Ring General won via submission, targeting his opponent's injured leg. Notably, The Celtic Warrior was attacked by another star during the match, resulting in his loss.
Ludwig Kaiser interfered in the match when the referee was distracted. The Celtic Warrior missed a Brogue Kick and got his leg hooked to the top rope. However, Kaiser trapped Sheamus’ leg in the middle rope as well and injured it with a dropkick.
The Ring General’s Imperium stablemate has posted a tweet on X saying he did the Celtic Warrior a favor.
“Accepting official „thank you“ notes of @WWESheamus right now, for saving him two weeks ago from embarrassing himself even more. This is me generously granting you a chance to silently step aside, show gratitude and avoid being exposed in front of the entire world, oul fella #LK,” Kaiser wrote.
While Ludwig Kaiser is laughing after attacking him, The Celtic Warrior doesn’t look like he is in a shape to retaliate. His social media message suggests he is stepping back from another fight.
Sheamus said he won’t have another WWE match with a big rival
The duo have gone head-to-head thrice, with Gunther taking close wins every time.
Addressing his WWE rivalry with Gunther, The Celtic Warrior tweeted on X, saying no to future encounters.
“There will be no part 4."
The Celtic Warrior and The Ring General have always produced hard-hitting matches praised by fans and industry veterans. However, he seems to have had enough of this rivalry.
It would be interesting to see if he responds to Ludwig Kaiser's insults and feuds with him in the future.
