WWE star shares sad truth about Becky Lynch's career

Becky Lynch is arguably WWE's biggest female wrestler in terms of marquee attractions. She is the first woman in the business to main event WrestleMania and win the said bout. So naturally, Liv Morgan can bask in the glory of retiring Lynch. For now.

In May, Morgan defeated Lynch to become Women's World Champion at King and Queen of the Ring. Two days later, she retained the belt against The Man inside a Steel Cage. It was the last time the Irish-born wrestler competed as her contract expired and she quietly left the company.

Speaking on The Big Show with Rusic and Rose, Liv Morgan boasted about three things that make 2024 a significant year in her wrestling career. Firstly, she is on top of the division with the top prize of the company, her second reign. Then, ofcourse, she took credit for "retiring" Becky Lynch. And finally, she became the first woman to pin Rhea Ripley in two years.

Throw in the success of her on-screen partnership with Judgment Day star Dominik Mysterio of late and being a member of the faction, Morgan admitted that she is at her best today:

"I’m so happy and I’m so proud. I’m just trying to enjoy it all and do everything justice. Two-time world champion. Two-time tag team champion. Money in the Bank winner. I single-handedly retired Becky Lynch. I’m the only person to defeat Rhea Ripley in the last two years, and I have Daddy Dom. I’m a very very very happy girl," Liv Morgan said.

The 30-year-old also had a three-word reaction to WWE releasing new merchandise with Dominik Mysterio's monicker "Daddy Dom," which she gave the latter in the recent past.

Lyra Valkyria opens up about advice she received from former WWE Superstar Becky Lynch

While Becky Lynch's WWE career may not be completely over, it seems like The Man will be taking time off for an extended period. Lyra Valkyria was one of her late projects. The two locked horns for the NXT Women's Title in the second half of 2023, with Valkyria scoring a huge win over Lynch.

In her final televised appearance on the flagship show in June, Becky Lynch was seen backstage talking to Lyra Valkyria. Speaking on The Casual Conversations with The Classic podcast, the young stalwart revealed about The Man's influence on her:

"Becky's [Lynch] biggest thing is always like embracing who you are and being confident in what you bring to the table and her telling me to be confident in what I bring to the table and feeling like what she sees what I bring to the table, obviously inspires me and motivates me a lot," she said.

It remains to be seen if Becky Lynch will sign a new contract sooner rather than later. She appears to be content with life after WWE. As of this writing, suffice it to say that Liv Morgan was The Man's final opponent.
