WWE star Xavier Woods makes disheartening announcement
New Day member Xavier Woods recently shared some bad news through social media. Woods announced that due to his busy schedule, there would be some changes to his UpUpDownDown channel activities in the next week.
In addition to being a WWE superstar, Woods has a popular YouTube channel under the name Austin Creed. It's a gaming channel featuring him and other WWE stars. The channel has content segments such as SavePoint, Battle of the Brands, and Tuesday Night Heat.
The former King of the Ring winner announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that there will be no Battle of the Brands this week. It was rescheduled for next week, while Tuesday Night Heat for next week will be held on Wednesday. He apologized for the late notice due to his busy schedule.
"Hey @UpUpDwnDwn crew! We just found out that we are gonna have to push tonight's Battle of the Brands to next week. Sorry about the short notice. And next week's TNH will be on Wednesday. Schedules are changing up a bit, so we will keep yall updated!" Woods wrote.
Xavier Woods started the UpUpDownDown channel back in 2015 and has grown into its own entity. It has around 2.44 million subscribers, with approximately 516.8 million total views. It has featured many WWE superstars over the years, including those not signed with the company.
Big E comments on tension between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston
There has been a lot of tension between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston over the past few months, with WWE hinting at the potential split of The New Day. Woods has not been happy with Kingston's decision-making, although they recently got attacked by Bron Breakker.
Speaking to Sports Talk Philly late last month, Big E reacted to the building tension in The New Day. The former WWE Champion has been out of action for more than two years due to a broken neck. He doesn't want to get involved with Woods and Kingston unless he's asked.
"I'm still very connected, but it's one of those things where I don't want to meddle or be involved if I'm not asked to be involved. I'm hopeful that whatever they are going through they will figure out. We spent a decade together, even at a time when no one foresaw us doing these incredible things. The only reason we made it through the tough times in 2014 and 2015 was because we stuck together," Big E said.
The New Day has been together since 2014, with Kofi Kingston and Big E winning the WWE Championship along the way. Xavier Woods' failure to get any singles gold has created frustration and tension in the team. It will be interesting to see what's going to happen next to one of the most decorated groups in WWE history.
