WWE Superstar confirms popular SmackDown stable has split

This week's episode of WWE SmackDown was stacked and included a backstage segment between Tyler Bate and Butch, where he was able to tease a potential name change.

As part of the segment, Butch talked about the future and made it clear that The Brawling Brutes were now over. This was the first confirmation that the WWE Universe has received since many believed Sheamus would make his return and bring his group back together.

Ridge Holland hasn't been seen on the blue brand since he walked out on his teammate in their match with Pretty Deadly back in December on SmackDown, and Butch has since moved on to form an alliance with his old friend Tyler Bate, who he has wrestled several times throughout their time in NXT.

The segment saw them talk about Blackpool, which many speculated was a hint of a possible alliance with legend William Regal since both men are from the West Midlands of the United Kingdom, and Regal is also from Blackpool and recently returned to WWE.

Will William Regal return to manage Butch and Tyler Bate on WWE SmackDown?

William Regal is widely considered to be one of the best wrestlers of his era to come out of the United Kingdom. His recent run with AEW and The Blackpool Cobat Club showed that he still has what it takes to step into the management position after being seen as NXT General Manager for several years.

William Regal is famously from Blackpool, and since making his return to WWE, he hasn't been featured on programming. However, the company could have a plan for him to manage Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne if he is able to return to his former name.

All three men know each other well, and with all the other stables on SmackDown having managers at the moment, Kross & AOP, The Judgment Day, LWO, etc, it would be wise for them to step up as a trio moving forward, so that there's someone out there to watch their back.
