WWE Superstar shares emotional message amidst Bobby Lashley and MVP's rumored departure
The WWE status of Bobby Lashley and MVP are currently topics of major speculation on the internet. While the latter has largely been kept off the company's live events and television for a year now, The All Mighty was a featured star on the main roster till his undisclosed injury in May, earlier this year.
MVP managed Lashley between 2020 and 2021 when they formed the stable, The Hurt Business. They also recruited Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander to the faction. The group did well and managed to find an audience, and is still talked about to this day, despite being disbanded in 2021, helping it achieve cult status.
Taking to X (fka Twitter), Cedric Alexander shared a memory of the faction when every member held a championship. Alexander currently performs on NXT, while Benjamin was released by WWE in September 2023.
"#HurtBusiness #Memories," Cedric Alexander wrote.
The latest reports surrounding MVP are that he is not expected to return and that WWE has made up their minds. The former United States Champion has been very vocal about Triple H not booking The Hurt Business properly. According to the veteran, The Game even refused to get the band back together on television in recent times despite their undying popularity.
WWE has reportedly offered a new deal to Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley has worked hard in the pro wrestling business over the years after being introduced to it by Olympic gold medalist, Kurt Angle, who spotted him during a practice session at the Olympic training center. Despite the natural look of a powerhouse wrestler, it took him over a decade to hoist his first WWE Championship.
In the intermediate time, he spent a few years in MMA as well. During an interview on the Millionaire Goals Podcast, Lashley recounted the time when Vince McMahon decided to give him a seven-figure raise.
As per reports from PWInsider, the Stamford-based promotion has offered a new deal to Bobby Lashley, whose contract is nearing its expiration. The All Mighty is seemingly not happy with the deal being offered and is expected to depart.
Bobby Lashley spent 2024 leading The Pride, a faction consisting of the Street Profits and B-Fab. They worked a WrestleMania match against The Final Testament in April. Aside from this, Lashley also competed in the Men's Royal Rumble Match and the Men's Elimination Chamber Match on the Road to WrestleMania.
