WWE Superstar shares photo with real-life partner Dakota Kai amid her absence from the company
Dakota Kai is currently sidelined with a knee injury which required surgery. However, she was spotted enjoying her time outside of in-ring action alongside WWE Superstar and real-life partner Eddy Thorpe.
Unfortunately, Kai is no stranger to injuries. A few weeks ago on Monday Night RAW, the commentary team revealed she was heading for surgery after an attack by Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark.
On social media, Thorpe shared a photo of himself and Kai and also sent a short message.
"Been about a year since I’ve felt the way I feel tonight or had this much fun. I won’t quit."

Dakota Kai opened up about her journey in professional wrestling
Dakota Kai opened up about her journey in the professional wrestling industry. Before signing with WWE in 2016, she worked in New Zealand and Australian independent wrestling promotions and competed in the Japanese promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom.
Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion said:
"I was completely enamored with the athleticism, the theatrics, and everything. I started watching it every week, and I began training in 2007, which feels like so long ago [...] I completely fell in love with it, and from there, I was maybe doing a show a month back home [New Zealand], and then opportunities started popping up in terms of going to Australia and going to Japan for a couple of tours. I never really thought at any point that I would ever make it here. [...] I never thought that I would make it [to WWE] until I eventually got that tryout, and it was very much a whirlwind experience for sure."
Amid Kai's absence from WWE television, IYO SKY and Kairi Sane have been representing Damage CTRL. The faction's fourth member, Asuka, has also been sidelined with an injury.
