WWE taking a very predictable route with recent Sami Zayn angle, according to former writer (Exclusive)
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Sami Zayn possibly teaming up with Solo Sikoa. The two stars had an exchange backstage this week on RAW.
The Bloodline tried to attack Jimmy and Jey Uso on RAW this week. However, The Usos fought back and repelled the trio of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. Later, WWE cameras panned backstage where Sami Zayn was shown having a chat with Solo Sikoa and The Usos thought the Master Strategist was now aligned with the new Tribal Chief.
This week on Legion of RAW, Russo claimed that this was a very predictable angle. The veteran writer detailed that Sami Zayn would seemingly side with Solo only to turn on them and unite with his old crew. He hoped that WWE creative would throw a twist in the storyline to keep the fans guessing.
"We go to the end of the show. Sami is talking to Solo. Oh guess what? They're gonna set up Solo like Sami is on their team. Then at the appropriate time Sami is gonna turn and everybody is gonna pop. Like nombody saw that coming. Throw the monkey wrench there once in a while man." [From 6:22 onwards]
After this week's episode of RAW, it is official that Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso will team up against The Bloodline in a Six Man Tag Team match.
The blockbuster encounter will go down at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 2.
