WWE veteran brings up his own experiences of unfortunate incidents after recent lawsuit against Vince McMahon (Exclusive)
Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon has been in the news yet again after a lawsuit was recently filed against him, Linda McMahon, and TKO. This prompted a veteran to talk about the severity of the allegations, which he claimed to have seen firsthand.
The lawsuit references the infamous Ring Boy scandal of 1992, where names like Pat Patterson, Terry Garvin, and Mel Phillips were accused of sexual misconduct against underage ring boys. The current allegations state that the defendants knew about these issues and willfully chose to do nothing about them.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo mentioned how he himself had women come up to him to tell him about similar incidents. He stated:
"I have had experience with women in the business as it pertains to this. You know if these stories and these allegations are true, like I said, bro, one of the kids wound up killing themself. If these allegations are true, I mean, Chris, you know, stuff like this can eff up your mind for life. I mean, I say that based on my experience, about four women have come forward telling me about sexual abuse in the business, and bro, they are messed up." [11:53 onwards]
Another WWE veteran also commented on the allegations
Adding to Vince Russo's comments, former WWE superstar EC3 also talked about the disturbing nature of these allegations while recounting his own interactions with similar victims.
On the same episode of The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 explained that men were also among the list of victims of sexual misconduct in the wrestling business. He stated:
"To be fair too, just based on a lot of people I have interacted with and got to know personally, in addition to women, the amount of men I have heard, you know, confide in me and telling me about these things happening. It's, I don't know, it's horrible." [13:02 onwards]
As of now, it remains to be seen how Vince McMahon will deal with these new allegations.
