WWE veteran calls out Cody Rhodes; makes case for Brock Lesnar return (Exclusive)
A former WWE writer called out Cody Rhodes for having to hit his finishing move several times to defeat Solo Sikoa earlier this month on SmackDown. The veteran also wondered how many Cross Rhodes it would take to defeat Brock Lesnar if he returned to action.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown on Backstage Pass, Vince Russo noted that it took The American Nightmare several Cross Rhodes to put Solo Sikoa away on the September 13 edition of SmackDown. Russo then wondered if it would take eight Cross Rhodes to defeat Brock Lesnar if he returned to WWE.
"I said the other day man, I'm watching Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa. Bro, you need four Cross Rhodes to beat this guy? So what if Brock Lesnar comes back? Are you going to need eight (Cross Rhodes)? I was talking about that, Mac, there is no such thing as a finishing move anymore. You can't beat a guy anymore with one freaking move. That is gone, bro," said Russo. [From 16:25 - 16:56]

Former WWE manager reacts to Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns' promo on SmackDown
Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell shared his thoughts on the promo between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns on this past Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown.
Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes met at Georgia Tech this past Friday night to discuss their upcoming tag team match against The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa at Bad Blood. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Mantell claimed that neither Reigns nor Rhodes was a babyface or a heel, but instead referred to them as "tweeners."
"What we saw here was almost two tweeners together. I don't think you can move either one of them heel. If they wanted to, as a last resort they could. But I don't think they're even thinking about that." [From 29:35 to 29:49]

Rhodes defeated Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania XL to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship. The Original Tribal Chief went on hiatus following the loss at The Show of Shows and finally returned last month at SummerSlam.
