WWE veteran claims CM Punk replaced 38-year-old star at Survivor Series because of him: "I guarantee you that Triple H read my tweet"
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about CM Punk being added to Survivor Series. The Straight Edge Superstar showed up on SmackDown this week to help Roman Reigns and his faction.
Paul Heyman made a shocking appearance on SmackDown this week as Roman Reigns was still looking for the fifth member for his team at WarGames. The Wiseman didn't come alone and enlisted Punk's help to take on the new Bloodline.
During a recent episode of BroDown, Russo mentioned that WWE was set on moving ahead with Seth Rollins as the fifth member before Triple H heard him on one of his podcasts. The veteran writer claimed Seth was penned for the fifth slot and the creative made a last-minute change and replaced him with Punk.
"I guarantee you that Triple H read my tweet. So, what do they do? At the last minute, oh it's CM Punk, which makes absolutely no sense. There's no story. But not only that, here's why I know they were going with Seth Rollins. This was done just for a pop. It makes no sense in the storyline, whatsoever. This company works on pops." [From 3:00 onwards]
CM Punk and Roman Reigns are two of the biggest stars in WWE and it will be interesting to see if they can co-exist long enough at Survivor Series: WarGames to take down Solo Sikoa's Bloodline.
