WWE veteran frustrated with the ending to the Bianca Belair-IYO SKY match on RAW (Exclusive)

IYO SKY and Bianca Belair faced off in a singles match on WWE RAW this week, and the Damage CTRL member came out on top. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo was not impressed with the match's ending.

SKY and Kairi Sane have been gunning for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship over the last few weeks. Sane was slated to face Bianca in a singles match this week, but the Japanese star recently suffered a blow to her eye, which led to IYO stepping in for her. The Genius of the Sky did not disappoint as she picked up the win over The EST by reversing a KOD attempt into a double-leg pinfall.

However, the ending of the match did not sit well with Vince Russo, who stated that IYO should not have reversed Belair's finisher as it made the latter look weak. The former WWE writer stated an alternate finish on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW:

"The way they got IYO SKY over, Belair had her in her finish... That doesn’t protect Bianca Belair at all. They were doing all that dangerous stuff on the outside when she had her up and carried her in the ring. Have her blow out her knees right there, that’s the finish... Not when she hits her with the move and then gets beat," Russo said. [From 53:02 onwards]

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill reclaimed the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, defeating the Unholy Union at Bash in Berlin. The duo's first reign was short, and they would be hoping to have a lengthy run with the gold this time.
