WWE veteran highlights the one big difference between Gunther and Brock Lesnar (Exclusive)
Gunther has often been compared to Brock Lesnar ever since becoming a star on the WWE main roster. The similarities in their styles and presentation have been discussed by fans for a long time and even The Ring General has shared his wish to face The Beast one day. Despite the similarities, Vince Russo highlighted a difference in the booking of the two stars.
After his record-breaking Intercontinental title reign, the Austrian has booked himself a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam by winning the King of the Ring tournament. He defeated Randy Orton in the final of the tournament in Saudi Arabia.
Appearing on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, Vince Russo disagreed with a fan who thought Gunther was being booked like Lesnar. According to Russo, the loss to Sami Zayn means that he will not be viewed the same as the former World Champion and that the way the two are booked is different.

"Gunther was being pushed like Brock Lesnar? Bro, he just lost to Sami Zayn. He lost to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania, how is he being booked like Brock Lesnar bro? He lost to freaking Sami Zayn." [33:55 - 34:10]
His co-host Dr. Chris also pointed out how Lesnar became the World Champion four months after his debut.
