WWE veteran predicts brutal beatdown for Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam; claims he'll get all the sympathy (Exclusive)
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell feels Cody Rhodes is in for a beating at SummerSlam. He will put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules match.
Solo has successfully turned around the fate of The Bloodline after Roman Reigns left. He added new members to the faction and made the group dominant once again on the blue brand. He now has the opportunity to bring the Undisputed Title back to The Bloodline at SummerSlam.
On the latest episode of the Smack Talk podcast, Mantell detailed that Cody would win the match but would have to undergo a lot of punishment. He felt the entire bout was centered around getting fan sympathy for The American Nightmare.
"Cody retains. He wins, I think he wins by pinfall. This is a match really made for Cody. He's gonna get all that sympathy. They're gonna beat the living cr*p out of him. He's gonna hang in there, hang in there, and hang in there. They'll come up with some good things and finally, he ends up getting the pin on Solo." [From 30:33 onwards]
This week on SmackDown, Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa confronted each other in the ring. The champ agreed to the Bloodline Rules stipulation and vowed to expose Sikoa as a "wannabe" Tribal Chief.
It will be interesting to see if Cody Rhodes can walk out of SummerSlam still the Undisputed WWE Champion.
