WWE veteran recalls life-changing car ride he had with Arn Anderson (Exclusive)

A WWE veteran recently talked about the state of the young generation of superstars in pro wrestling today, leading to him recalling a memorable conversation with Arn Anderson. According to veteran Vince Russo, the up-and-coming stars have a major flaw in their attitude.

Arn Anderson is known as one of the most experienced veterans in the business today. His addition to the AEW roster was seen as a major acquisition, considering he would bring his expertise to nurture the company's home-grown talent. However, Vince Russo believes that his advice, along with that of many veterans, was ignored by the young locker room.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, hosted by Mac Davis, Vince Russo explained how he used to learn from more experienced veterans.

"When I was in WCW, I had one, one car ride with Arn Anderson. And I am telling you, I can remember every single word of that conversation. I had one car ride with Dutch Mantell. I can tell you every... I would sit there like a child. Just listening. And that's the thing. That is why I am not a fan of today's product. I am not a fan of today's athletes. Because how could you not want to listen to the people that have been there, Mac I don't undertand that. It's a huge mistake on their part." [4:49 onwards]

The WWE veteran believes Mark Henry faced a similar problem in AEW

According to Vince Russo, a major reason for Mark Henry leaving AEW was how he was treated by the locker room.

Speaking on the same episode of Writing with Russo, the veteran explained that the youth today did not care enough to heed advice from experienced names like Mark Henry.

"This young generation, they need people like Mark Henry for guidance and wisdom and kinda sit down at the learning tree and learn from these veterans. But from everything I have heard, these young athletes today know everything." [1:21 onwards]

As of now, Mark is open to working with WWE. It remains to be seen if he will appear in the Stamford-based promotion anytime soon.
