WWE veteran reveals what he thinks the company should do with Damian Priest (Exclusive)

Damian Priest became the World Heavyweight Champion in incredible circumstances at WrestleMania 40 by cashing in his MITB contract. While the win fulfilled his dream, he didn't have much time to celebrate as Jey Uso was determined as his next challenger on RAW the following night. While the champion gets ready for his first defense, Vince Russo has said the company needs to separate him from the Judgment Day.

Jey Uso and the Priest faced off in the ring on the show this week. After JD McDonagh tried to attack Uso, the champion took a superkick meant for JD in the chaos. After taking the kick, The Archer of Infamy was understandably mad and later on in the show yelled at his teammates that he didn't need them.

Reviewing the show on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo predicted that it is the stars of Priest separating himself from the group. He has advised the company to not drag this out as the group will bring the champion down, according to the former RAW head writer. You can read his comments and watch the entire podcast below.

"Judgment Day brings down Damian Priest bro. He is not bringing them up, they're bringing him down. And I know he's gonna separate himself from the group, but I don't think they should drag this over the next 2-3 months." [34:44 - 35:01]

With Rhea Ripley out and Dominik injured too, it does seem like tensions within the group are on the rise.
