WWE veteran says he is afraid that Crown Jewel match will be ruined for Gunther (Exclusive)
WWE Crown Jewel is just around the corner, promising a stacked lineup of matches. However, there is a particular bout that a veteran fears will be ruined for Gunther. The veteran in question is Vince Russo.
At Bad Blood this year, Triple H revealed a new title called the Crown Jewel Championship. The top male and female champions from RAW and SmackDown will be facing each other at Crown Jewel to crown the inaugural champions. As a result, Gunther and Cody Rhodes will be going toe-to-toe at the event.
On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo was asked to predict the abovementioned match's outcome. The WWE veteran expressed disdain at the thought of Sami Zayn potentially interfering in the bout to cost Gunther. Russo said:
"Bro, I hate to say it. I hate to think of this. Are they gonna have Sami scr*w Gunther?" [5:13 onwards]

The WWE veteran also criticized the new title's booking
According to Vince Russo, the booking of the newly revealed title does not make sense.
On the same episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo talked about how the Crown Jewel Championship could have just been a separate title altogether, which did not require only champions to be contenders. He said:
"Why not just have a Crown Jewel Championship that is defended when they are in Saudi Arabia. I mean that's special to them. I mean, it's just defended when they are over in Saudi Arabia. I mean ya, the concept and uh, champion vs. (...) I don't get or understand that at all." [From 01:18 to 01:43]
As of now, it remains to be seen how WWE Crown Jewel pans out. Will The Ring General walk out of Riyadh as double champion? Fans must stay tuned to find out.
