WWE veteran says he is not "feeling" Shinsuke Nakamura's current character (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo is not invested in Shinsuke Nakamura's current character.

The King of Strong Style has displayed a more ruthless side of himself over the last few months. He was featured in a pre-taped segment on last night's RAW, where he noted that a beating at his hands is a beautiful thing. The Japanese star made it clear that he wants to find an opponent who will inspire the yet-to-be-seen side within him and is looking for something that is worthy enough to set him free.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo stated that he is still not "feeling" this character change.

"Bro, I don’t know, you know, again bro, they are basing this on he had a good match with Seth so now he’s elevated. I’m not feeling that. Who are you gonna put with Nakamura that’s gonna mean anything? I am just not feeling it, bro," Russo said. [55:25 - 55:44]

Shinsuke Nakamura cannot be a world champion in WWE according to Teddy Long

Shinsuke Nakamura came to WWE in 2016 with a lot of hype behind him. However, the star has not lived up to his reputation in the sports entertainment juggernaut.

WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long believes that The King of Strong Style cannot be a world champion in the company because of the entertainment aspect.

"He is a great guy. I love him to death, man, but I'm just saying when you look at the business side, I have nothing against him; he is a great worker. When you put that title on somebody, they are going to be able to carry it, and Nakamura, as I said, is a great wrestler, a phenomenal athlete, but sometimes, in this business, you have to be able to wrestle and entertain at the same time," Teddy Long said.

While Shinsuke Nakamura failed in his pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship, the Japanese star has established himself as a prominent face on WWE programming in the last few weeks. He is coming off a strong victory over Ricochet in a Falls Count Anywhere Match and looks ready for a new challenger.
