WWE veteran wants Jeff Jarrett to "fire" two AEW stars and start a new faction with Ricochet (Exclusive)

According to a veteran, Ricochet leaving WWE and potentially joining AEW could result in a new faction. Furthermore, Jeff Jarrett apparently has the perfect opportunity to set up the said faction.

Jarrett recently lost a massive match in the Owen Hart Foundation Men's tournament against the returning Hangman Adam Page. This led to him being visibly distressed in a backstage segment, something which Vince Russo believes should be turned into an angle involving Ricochet.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, Vince Russo addressed Ricochet potentially joining AEW. According to him, a new faction focusing on showcasing stars who were previously in the Stamford-based promotion in an arrogant fashion could do well in the Jacksonville-based company.

"I just saw some stuff online where Jeff Jarrett lost the cup, the Owen Hart memorial cup and he was all distraught, this and that. Bro, let Jarrett turn and fire Lethal and Sonjay Dutt because they were never in the WWE. 'You guys pulled me down, man. I tried to raise you up but you were never in the WWE.' Now you do Ricochet and, you know, former WWE, bro, I think that would be huge heat with AEW fans." [6:47 onwards]

Another veteran did not want Ricochet to leave WWE for AEW

Although many believe that Ricochet can pull off some notable moves in AEW, wrestling veteran Matt Morgan wanted him to stay on Triple H's roster.

Speaking on the Gigantic Pop podcast, the veteran stated that he would have preferred to have Ricochet continue in the Stamford-based promotion instead of considering a move to Tony Khan's company.

"Okay, well that's a whole different conversation. I did not know that. If he's gonna get money like that paid, then god bless him. (...) So we don't think at all Samantha Irvin could like maybe pull him back to WWE. I'm being desperate because I don't want him to leave, I love him. I don't want him to leave WWE," Morgan said. As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for Ricochet in his career.
