WWE will crown a new champion soon from among four superstars; only one can win it

WWE is getting ready to crown a new champion, and it seems that it's down to four superstars. One of the four will soon become the new champion.

The Triple H-led promotion recently revealed that a new title would be introduced. The company announced a tournament on its social media that it would be hosting WWE Speed exclusively on X. The winner of the tournament will become the inaugural WWE Speed Champion.

Now, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet, JD McDonagh, and Bronson Reed are the four semi-finalists, and one of them will become champion.

The company hosted the last quarter-final match today, in which Gargano defeated Angel to become the last semi-finalist. The match took everything the star had and saw him pin Angel after a Springboard DDT.

Besides Gargano, Ricochet advanced after defeating Dragon Lee, while JD McDonagh beat Axiom. Bronson Reed defeated Cedric Alexander.

Ricochet and McDonagh will face each other, while Reed and Gargano will go toe-to-toe. The winners of the two matches will face each other, and a new champion will finally be crowned.

Triple H is yet to unveil the new title.

All WWE Speed matches have a three-minute time limit, making it perfect for two types of stars

As a result of the time limit imposed, stars have to re-imagine their entire approach to wrestling.

While this makes the match a perfect opportunity for the likes of Ricochet or Gargano, who are known for their fast-paced offense, it also favors the likes of Bronson Reed, who goes for a more dominant and devastating approach.

So far, Ricochet's match came the closest to ending without a winner, ending at 2 minutes and 57 seconds. After that are JD McDonagh and Gargano, whose matches ended at 2 minutes and 26 seconds and 2 minutes and 8 seconds, respectively.

By far, the fastest and most dominant win was for Bronson Reed, who demolished Cedric Alexander within 1 minute and 50 seconds.
