WWE should give Nick Aldis an Undisputed WWE title run, hints 47-year-old star

A former WWE Superstar wants the promotion to give a major main event push to SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. The star in question is Matt Morgan.

It's been almost a year since Aldis was introduced as SmackDown's GM by WWE CCO Triple H. Aldis has done an incredible job as the GM so far, but many fans want to see him step into the ring somewhere down the line.

On SmackDown, Nick Aldis announced a Steel Cage match for next week's episode. The match will be contested for Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE title and will see Cody take on Solo Sikoa. Shortly after, 47-year-old Matt Morgan wrote a lengthy post on Twitter, urging WWE to give Aldis a world title run. Check out an excerpt from his post:

"But respectfully, WWE is missing the mark not taking his equally impressive wrestling acumen and ability to get over, & rate it at the same level they obviously do of his promo ability. I’ve said it since 2012 now: Nick is without a question in my mind, that quintessential & perennial world champion, just WAITING TO HAPPEN!"

Aldis is one of the most decorated stars of the modern era. He has won world titles in several notable promotions. He is a two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion and is also a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
