Xavier Woods boasts major victory following WWE Crown Jewel shock
The New Day's Xavier Woods shared an interesting message following WWE Crown Jewel 2024. Woods was not in action at the premium live event in Saudi Arabia.
Woods took to social media following the show to send a message directed at Big E, who was on the Crown Jewel Post Show panel. The former WWE Champion discussed one of the shocking moments of the premium live event, where Solo Sikoa pinned Roman Reigns.
Woods took to his X/Twitter and sent a message to the former WWE Champion, seemingly pointing out that he, too, pinned Roman Reigns. The New Day member faced Reigns on the November 12, 2021, edition of SmackDown, where he almost got a pinfall victory against OTC before The Usos broke up the cover to end the match in a No-Contest.
"E. I pinned him," he wrote.
Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston recently lost their opportunity to become number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championship this past Monday night on WWE RAW. The War Raiders emerged victorious in the match and are next in line for a title match against The Judgment Day's JD McDonagh and Finn Balor.
Xavier Woods tries to explain why he didn't help R-Truth on WWE RAW
RAW star Xavier Woods recently tried to explain why he ripped off Rey Mysterio's mask during their match on the September 30 edition of the red brand.
In a video shared on social media, the former champion discussed ripping off Rey Mysterio's mask and claimed that it was an accident. The New Day star also noted that it was Mysterio's decision to wear the mask, and he shouldn't be blamed for it coming off during the match.
"One of the best counters for that position is a Snapmare, and that is what I attempted to do. But when I did it, his [Rey Mysterio] mask accidentally, for the 100th time, accidentally came off. The mask that he chose to wear, mind you. But then he also made another choice, because he chose to cover his face because that was more important. So what was more important to me? It is winning. So then I pinned him, and I beat a WWE legend, Rey Mysterio because of a choice that he made," Woods said. [From 0:36 to 0:58]
