Xavier Woods offered major opportunity despite controversial win on WWE RAW; massive moment teased

New Day member Xavier Woods picked up a controversial win on WWE RAW. However, he still received a massive opportunity.

Ever since Karrion Kross tried to recruit Xavier Woods into the Final Testament, things have not been well in The New Day. Initially, Woods rejected his offer and stood by his partner. However, in recent weeks, Woods and Kofi Kingston have not been on the same page with the former being upset over their recent losses.

Hence, Woods has been confrontational backstage. As a result, he confronted Rey Mysterio last week setting up a match for tonight. During the match, Rey's mask accidentally came off and Woods took advantage of this to pick up the win.

Following the match, Kofi Kingston ran into Woods backstage and asked him if he had intentionally removed Mysterio's mask. Woods denied doing it on purpose. Kingston then told him that Jey Uso offered him an Intercontinental Championship match but he suggested that Woods take the opportunity. Hence, the match was made official for next week.

Woods was ecstatic after receiving a title shot against Jey Uso. All the while, Karrion Kross was lurking in the background, apparently listening in on The New Day's conversation.

It looks like Jey Uso's first challenger for the Intercontinental Championship will be Xavier Woods.
