"You did this" - Cody Rhodes could be stunned with shock twist at Bash in Berlin, believes former WWE star

Cody Rhodes is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin at the end of August. Former WWE star Matthew Rehwoldt, famously known as Aiden English, believes that Rhodes could be in for a surprise the the first-ever Premium Live Event in Germany.

The American Nightmare wanted to reward KO with a title shot at Bash in Berlin for all the things he did during his feud against The Bloodline. Owens was finally convinced to accept the match and they will have a friendly showdown for the biggest prize in the industry.

In the most recent episode of the REBOOKED Wrestling Podcast, Rehwoldt explained why Owens could shock the world and Rhodes by turning heel. Owens has been a babyface for a few years now, so it could be a fresh restart for his character.

"All good heels have a very logical reason for doing the nasty things they do. I think it could work whether he wins the title or not because he just he ends up clicking into this place even just to compete for it. If he's in a match for it. … Then whatever happens, he's got this justification to Cody. 'You did this. You brought this on. I did not want this. I was backing you up. I was your friend. I was your partner. I was your guy. You insisted, you've opened this floodgate,'" Rehwoldt said. [22:37 - 23:22]

Matthew Rehwoldt also pointed out that the next PLE after Bash in Berlin is Bad Blood in Cody Rhodes' hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Rehwoldt thought that a heel Kevin Owens would be the perfect matchup for Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes featured in the latest Bad Blood video promo

As mentioned above, Bad Blood will be held in Atlanta, Georgia. It's Cody Rhodes' hometown, so he was naturally featured in the promotional video for the resurrected Premium Live Event.

In the video below, Rhodes was in a car with Atlanta-based music producer Metro Boomin, who has worked with plenty of artists such as Future, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Gucci Mane, and Nav.

The last time WWE used the Bad Blood name for a Premium Live Event was in 2004, held in Colombus, Ohio. It was an exclusive event for RAW back then and the main event was a Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
