Zelina Vega gets emotional following loss on WWE RAW

WWE Superstar Zelina Vega recently shared an emotional social media update after failing to earn a championship opportunity at the latest edition of Monday Night RAW. The LWO member participated in the Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for Liv Morgan's Women's World Championship.

The 33-year-old started the match on a positive note as she eliminated Alpha Academy's Ivy Nile. Vega had lost to the latter last week on RAW. However, the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion's joy was short-lived as she was eliminated by Damage CTRL's Kairi Sane during the commercial.

The latest edition of the red brand's show was pre-taped in Saudi Arabia. Moments after the match aired on the network, Zelina Vega took to her Instagram account to share pictures of herself in action during the Battle Royal. In the caption, the RAW Superstar noted that emotions can cloud one's path to success, but she claimed it would never happen again until she achieves her goal.

"Sometimes the fog of emotion blurs the path to the shine of the prize. Never again. One. Step. At. A. Time… because I’m never taking my foot off ya neck until I get what I came for," she wrote.

Zelina Vega wants to win a singles WWE championship

Owing to her impressive performances, Zelina Vega has become a popular name among wrestling fans. While Vega is a former Women's Tag Team Champion, she has yet to win a singles WWE championship.

During an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor, Bill Apter, Vega noted that she feels grateful to have worked alongside superstars like Rey Mysterio and Andrade.

The inaugural Queen's Crown winner reflected on her accolades within the wrestling promotion and pointed out that her goal is to capture the elusive WWE Women's Champion.

"I feel like I've gotten the chance to do some amazing things, work with some amazing people. Andrade, and obviously, I got to work very closely with Rey. I got to be the first ever Queen of the Ring and tag champion, but I've never actually gotten to be WWE Women's Champion. So that's my goal. It's something that I really wanted to do and prove that I can do. There's been so many doubters and people who thought I couldn't do any of what I've accomplished," she said. [From 0:38 onwards]
