Zelina Vega issues major demand to Rhea Ripley after WWE SmackDown
WWE Superstar Zelina Vega has demanded Rhea Ripley appreciate her for a major reason. This comes after the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Ripley and Vega faced off for the SmackDown Women's Championship at the 2023 Backlash. Despite an incredible performance by the Latino World Order member, The Nightmare retained the title at the premium live event in Puerto Rico.
Meanwhile, on X (formerly Twitter), Pop Base's social media account posted that today is "National Short Girl Appreciation Day," accompanied by a photo of Sabrina Carpenter. In response, Zelina Vega tagged Rhea Ripley and demanded the latter acknowledge and appreciate her.
"YEAH, @RHEARIPLEY_WWE FKN APPRECIATE ME. Handles and all," she wrote.

WWE star Zelina Vega teases massive unfinished business with Rhea Ripley
Mami was a part of The Judgment Day faction when she locked horns with the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion. However, Rhea Ripley was kicked out of the group at SummerSlam 2024 after Dominik Mysterio betrayed her to be with Liv Morgan.
Although Zelina Vega lost her title match against The Eradicator at Backlash last year, she received tremendous support from the Puerto Rican crowd. Following her bout, the LWO member was showered with a standing ovation.
During an interview with IGN before this year's SummerSlam, La Muñeca expressed interest in a rematch against Rhea Ripley, stating that it would represent the completion of a story that was left unfinished at Backlash 2023. Zelina Vega suggested a victory over the former Women's World Champion would provide a sense of closure and complete her narrative.
"Rhea Ripley. I feel like I have a full-circle moment. You're talking about finishing stories, that would be the finish of mine. Being able to actually beat her and complete that story that was supposed to be in Backlash [2023]. So, I say Rhea," she said.
There were speculations that Vega was set to leave the company after her loss to Ivy Nile and Lyra Valkyria in the Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament first-round Triple Threat Match on the December 9, 2024, edition of the red brand. However, this is not the case, as the LWO member is still under contract with WWE and won't be leaving anytime soon.
It remains to be seen if fans will witness a match between Rhea Ripley and Zelina Vega following the season premiere of RAW on Netflix.
