Nia Jax to ditch Tiffany Stratton and form a new alliance with two debuting WWE stars? Analyzing subtle hint
Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton have been allies for some time now, but the WWE Women's Champion might soon ditch her friend, for two debuting stars. Nia's association with these wrestlers isn't ordinary but they share real-life Bloodline connections.
The superstars in question are the Tonga Twins (Taahine and TalaVou). While the Tongans are not exactly blood-related to the Anoa'i family, they share the same cultural heritage. Born to immigrant parents, the Tonga Twins are second-generation Tongans from Vallejo, California.
The duo made their wrestling debut in 2021 for AEW and later moved to Women of Wrestling (WOW). They are also the first ever Tongan wrestlers in history to win the World Tag Team Championship in WOW.
However, they left the promotion earlier this year in May 2024, after allegations of misconduct. They became free agents and since then, there have been rumors of the Tonga Twins making their WWE debuts. They have also been trained by WWE legend, Rikishi, and were recently spotted at the company's Performance Center.
So, why are rumors of Nia Jax aligning with the Tonga Twins in circulation? On November 17, a fan on social media uploaded a photoshopped image of Nia Jax celebrating her win against Naomi on Friday while standing alongside The Tonga Twins. While the image wasn't real, it did invoke a response from Taahine Tonga.
She replied to this image, with a caption, "Well...", leading to many fans speculating whether the Tonga Twins were on their way to the Stamford-based promotion to ally with Nia Jax.
While the Tonga Twins might not make debuts on the main roster directly, they might do so through the NXT brand. They might enter the black and silver brand before moving to the main roster.
Upon moving to the main roster, the duo might attack Nia Jax's current mates, Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae. This might lead to Stratton turning babyface in the process. Further, there have been rumors of Tiffany Stratton turning babyface for some time now, and The Buff Barbie has commented on it.
Tiffany Stratton opens up on turning babyface in WWE
The Blonde Bombshell recently opened up on turning babyface in WWE and said that her character will turn babyface when the time is right.
While speaking to the New York Post, Stratton said that she wouldn't be changing anything herself, and if her character has to turn babyface, she will let it happen naturally.
"I think naturally, my character will just kind of turn babyface, because the crowd has been slowly kind of turning me babyface. But I don’t think I’m going to change anything, just because why would you change something that’s working? I don’t think there’s going to be too much to change. I think I’m just going to be the same Tiffany Stratton, just maybe a little bit nicer to my coworkers," she said.
Miss Money in the Bank is currently working as a heel in WWE. She helped Nia Jax beat Naomi for the Women's Championship in the main event on SmackDown recently.
She also tried to cash in her contract against Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel on November 2, but couldn't do so due to Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio's intervention. It remains to be seen if she will turn on her friend, Nia Jax, to cash in her contract in the future.
