Nick Aldis to ban The Bloodline; Randy Orton & top star to be added to SummerSlam? 4 Things the SmackDown GM can announce on this Friday's show

WWE will kick off the SummerSlam 2024 weekend with this Friday's episode of SmackDown. The show will take place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

A stacked go-home show for The Biggest Party of the Summer is set as The Bloodline will take on DIY for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Moreover, The Unholy Union will defend the Women's Tag Team titles against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

The show will also feature United States Champion Logan Paul's homecoming. Furthermore, Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa will come face-to-face ahead of their big match on Saturday night.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis could have some big announcements planned ahead of SummerSlam.

So, without further ado, let's take a look at four possible announcements he could make on the blue brand.

#4. Ban The Bloodline from ringside during Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa

The Bloodline keeps growing, which is why Solo Sikoa and his men have outnumbered Cody Rhodes and his friends during their ongoing rivalry.

With Randy Orton and Kevin Owens forced out of action due to The Bloodline's attack, Cody Rhodes is on his own. The Undisputed WWE Champion will not have anyone by his side on SmackDown and most likely not even at SummerSlam.

Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa will probably try to help Sikoa win the title at The Biggest Party of the Summer, so Nick Aldis could ban them from appearing during the match.

This would also clear the path for the highly rumored return of Roman Reigns, who could confront Sikoa easily without having to deal with other members of The Bloodline.

#3. Jake Paul's appearance for SummerSlam

Logan Paul will finally defend the United States Championship against LA Knight at SummerSlam this Saturday.

The Maverick has not defended the title much during this reign, but he hopes to get a big win at The Biggest Party of the Summer. He revealed on SmackDown last week that "Mr. Cleveland" has told him to expect a surprise at SummerSlam.

It is possible that Mr. Cleveland is Jake Paul, Logan Paul's brother. Nick Aldis could announce Jake's appearance for SummerSlam on SmackDown to increase the hype for the premium live event.

WWE could also swerve fans by announcing Jake Paul for SummerSlam and reveal someone else to be Mr. Cleveland during Logan Paul vs. LA Knight.

#2. Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes for SummerSlam after their last SmackDown match

Andrade and Carmelo Hayes participated in the 2024 Men's Money in the Bank Ladder match last month. The WWE Speed Champion sent Hayes crashing through a ladder with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb.

The two men went head-to-head on the July 19, 2024, episode of SmackDown, where Andrade came out on top.

It is possible that Nick Aldis will announce a rematch between them for the SummerSlam Kickoff show. The Kickoff will be three hours long, so a few matches may be scheduled for it.

#1. The Bloodline vs. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens for the WWE Tag Team Championship

Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga will challenge DIY for the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown this Friday. The Bloodline has been unstoppable, and it is possible that they will dethrone Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa as the champions.

Following their possible win, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens could return to attack them to avenge what they did to the duo recently. Nick Aldis could then announce a title match between the two teams for SummerSlam.

Since Triple H introduced the WWE Tag Team titles in April, they have never been defended on a Premium Live Event. A big match between The Viper & KO and The Bloodline for the titles at The Biggest Party of the Summer could finally cause them to be featured on a major event.
