Nick Aldis to be forced to punish former champion following his actions on WWE SmackDown? Exploring potential swerve

Nick Aldis was absent from last week's episode of SmackDown since the General Manager was on holiday with his wife, former WWE star Mickie James.

There were many stars who needed Aldis' attention last week, one of them being Nick Aldis, who managed to exit his office with his signature on the official contract for a match against LA Knight for the United States Championship at SummerSlam.

It appears that Knight could have added the signature himself since Aldis wasn't available, something that may come to light this week on SmackDown and could lead to Knight being removed from the match or even suspended since forgery is a serious crime.

Knight wants the match to happen, and it's easy to see how he would reach new heights to ensure that he was able to wrestle Logan Paul for the title. But if he did forge Aldis' signature, the General Manager could have something to say about it.

Will LA Knight be replaced in his match against Logan Paul at WWE SummerSlam?

LA Knight could be taken out of the match and replaced by someone else, which could be the punishment that Aldis has in mind since it would allow Knight to watch someone else wrestle instead.

He could just fine LA Knight, which seems to be the choice of punishment for the British star, who has become known to hand out fines whenever there is an issue with any star on his brand.

A hefty fine would be a punishment but it would also allow Knight to still get his hands on Logan Paul at SummerSlam, and since Paul is set to be on WWE SmackDown later tonight, the match could finally be made official. Aldis is expected to be in attendance to see that the contract is officially signed by both men this week.
