Nick Aldis to punish 40-year-old WWE SmackDown Superstar on Triple H’s orders this week? Possibility explored

WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, on the instructions of Triple H, may take action against SmackDown star Kevin Owens. The Prizefighter has been out of control of late and has some serious disciplinary issues.

KO started by hitting Randy Orton with a banned WWE move, the Piledriver. He executed a Package Piledriver on Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night's Main Event and then stole Cody's Winged Eagle Belt. And now, Owens trespassed on the company's headquarters during RAW's kick-off show for Netflix.

The former Universal Champion came out of nowhere, carrying Cody's Winged title. He interrupted Michael Cole and said that he should be present on the show, as the real champion:

"The true rightful WWE Champion doesn't even get invited to this giant press conference. How does that work? How is it that the true WWE Champion has to sneak in, and steal a microphone to be a part of this. I belong to this place. I am your WWE Champion," Kevin Owens said.

Owens was later escorted out of the arena by security. Cole also reminded him that he wasn't the champion. KO lost the title match against Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night's Main Event but attacked Rhodes from behind after the bout. In a fraction of a second, he lifted Rhodes, hit him with a massive Package Piledriver, and pinned him to the ground. He then picked up Cody's Winged Eagle Belt and walked out.

The Prizefighter was confronted by Triple H at the entrance. Hunter was fuming and even pushed KO. Owens returned the gesture. The referees then escorted Owens backstage. Rhodes was stretchered out of the arena and later taken to hospital. This is why the CCO could ask the SmackDown GM to punish KO.

Cody Rhodes may return before WWE Royal Rumble 2025

The American Nightmare might return to confront Kevin Owens before Royal Rumble 2025. The company said in an update that Rhodes' X-rays were negative. However, he has been diagnosed with axial compression of the cervical spine, as well as cervical strain and spasm.

Cody might make a comeback next year before Royal Rumble since there hasn't been any update on a serious injury. The company also said that Cody was kept overnight for observation.

There are also chances that The American Nightmare might appear with a neckband wrapped around his neck on Monday Night RAW's debut episode on Netflix on January 6, 2024. Fans are already anticipating what Rhodes' next move against Owens will be.
