Nick Aldis to punish real-life Bloodline member & make a massive Bad Blood announcement on SmackDown next week? Exploring possible swerve
Nick Aldis has been doing a stellar job as SmackDown GM leading up to WWE Bad Blood. He has been working week in and week out to ensure the best possible matches for the PLE. One of these matches involves a real-life Bloodline member, who is scheduled to fight in Atlanta, Georgia. However, Aldis could end up punishing said member next week on SmackDown with a big announcement.
The real-life Bloodline member in question is Nia Jax, and she is scheduled to defend her title at WWE Bad Blood. However, her challenger for the PLE is still undecided. The fans were supposed to get a No.1 Contender last night in a tag team match that featured Jax & Tiffany Stratton taking on Bayley & Naomi. The idea was, that whoever claimed the pin would become No.1 Contender, and in a shocking twist, both Bayley and Naomi pinned The Irresistible Force at the same time.
This is where Nick Aldis stepped in. Considering the situation, Aldis announced a No.1 Contender match for next week between Bayley and Naomi. A simple decision, but why should he punish Nia Jax? Well, knowing the WWE Women's Champion, she will likely try to interfere. Should her interference prove successful, and the match ended in a no-contest, the blue brand GM could come out and punish her by making the match at Bad Blood a Triple Threat Contest.
It certainly would be quite the twist if Nick Aldis pulls it off, and one that will not leave Jax pleased. But, at the end of the day, this is nothing more than speculation. We will just have to wait and see what happens on SmackDown next week.
Bayley shared her thoughts on Nick Aldis' recent decision
As mentioned earlier, it was Nick Aldis who decided that Bayley and Naomi would go head-to-head next week. It was a huge announcement, especially given what is on the line. Understandably, there have been mixed reactions to the decision, even The Role Model herself shared her two cents.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Bayley, who has butted heads with Aldis in the past, gave her verdict. Rather than blaming the GM like she would have before, she chose to focus on the match. She simply reacted by stating:
"May the best woman win."
Next week's match is bound to be an interesting one. Who will come out on top? Who will face Nia Jax at Bad Blood? All these questions and more will be answered next Friday on SmackDown.
