Nikki Cross’ new character to lead to the return of former WWE Superstar after 2 years? Exploring potential swerve

Nikki Cross' bizarre return during last night's edition of WWE RAW could lead to a former superstar returning to the company after two years away.

Cross made her return to WWE television during last night's episode of RAW in Dallas, Texas. She teamed up with Natalya to battle Women's Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in a non-title match. However, Nikki Cross provided Nattie with zero assistance during the bout and instead stood in silence on the ring apron.

The 34-year-old didn't get involved in the action, and Natalya took the loss. Before she was almost a superhero, Nikki Cross portrayed a psychopath in the SAnitY faction alongside her husband, Killian Dain.

Former WWE Superstars Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe were also a part of the faction. The group was called up to the main roster in 2018 but was disbanded the following year. Killian Dain was released from the company in June 2021.

The former RAW Women's Champion appears to be reverting to her old character, which could lead to Killian Dain returning to the company as well. The 38-year-old big man is incredibly athletic for his size and would be an interesting potential opponent for Ivar of The Viking Raiders.

The promotion ran a vignette for Ivar, hyping him up as a singles competitor during last night's edition of RAW, as Erik is currently out with an injury.

Nikki Cross reveals SAnitY was the most fun she had in WWE

WWE RAW star Nikki Cross recently disclosed that being a part of the SAnitY faction was the most fun she had during her tenure as a superstar.

In a conversation with Love Wrestling Interviews, Nikki Cross discussed her time in SAnitY and shared that she learned a lot from her fellow stablemates. As of now, Cross is the only remaining star from the faction still on WWE's roster.

"For me, sAnitY was the most fun I have ever had in my career. I had Eric Young, who is like this crazy uncle. I had my husband, Killian Dain. Getting to work with my husband was really fun. I had my best friend, Alexander Wolfe. So for me, SAnitY was the most fun I've ever had in my career. I learned so much from those three men. They taught me so much and I learned so much. So for me, it's just a time I look really fondly on and it helped me grow as a performer. So I would never want to forget that," said Cross. [From 5:56 - 6:30]

SAnitY was a popular faction in NXT but never connected with the WWE Universe on the main roster. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Nikki Cross' new character on RAW moving forward.
