What’s the story?

During his recent interview with Tokyo Sports, Bullet Club’s current leader Kenny Omega addressed the frequent internal conflicts between the BC and also discussed ‘Switchblade’ Jay White turning down the offer to join the Biz Cliz.

In case you didn’t know…

During this year’s NJPW: New Year’s Dash event, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes and current IWGP US Champion Kenny Omega got into a heated conflict with each other, after Cody decided to brutally assault Omega’s former tag team partner Kota Ibushi only for Omega to step in and intervene, when he decided to save his former Golden Lovers tag team partner.

Following the heated exchange between Omega and Cody, The Cleaner decided to call out Jay White and asked ‘Switchblade’ to join the Bullet Club but instead White decided to hit the Blade Runner on Omega and turned down the offer.

The heart of the matter

During his interview with Tokyo Sports, Omega accused Jay White’s decision to join Chaos instead Bullet Club, because Kenny thinks that joining the Chaos faction is the fastest and the easiest way to challenge for a belt. Omega also claimed that White’s fellow Chaos stablemates Yoshi-Hashi and Trent Berretta got a shot at the IWGP US Title for no specific reason as well.

On the other hand, Kenny said that the problems between the Bullet Club once again aroused at the Korakeun Hall on the 5th of January and according to the IWGP US Champion, his Bullet Club stablemate Cody Rhodes acted in a totally selfish manner at the New Year’s Dash event and him attacking Ibushi after the match is something that Omega expects from Chris Jericho or Suzuki Gun instead.

What’s next?

Kenny Omega’s next IWGP US Title challenger is non-other than ‘Switchblade’ himself. Kenny and Jay White will collide with each other at the upcoming New Beginning in Sapporo event at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center in Sapporo, on 28th January 2018.

Author’s take

I think this frequent arguments and conflicts between the members of the Bullet Club may or may not lead to disruption between the group members in the near future. In the past, we have already seen conflicts between Adam Cole and Kenny Omega and AJ Styles and Kenny Omega, during Styles and Cole’s time with the BC.

However, fans never got the chance to witness a match between AJ and Omega or Cole and Omega for that matter, will we get to see a match between Cody and Omega? Only time will tell.
