No dark match post-RAW, Reigns warned by Sheamus, backstage note on title change at Survivor Series

Shots fired....Feud set!

- RAW last night ended with Roman Reigns standing tall in the ring after fending off the 3-prone attack from Rusev, King Barrett & Sheamus, with a little bit of assistance from a steel chair.

As was announced on the show by Triple H, the main event of next month’s TLC pay-per-view is set to be a match for Sheamus’s WWE World Heavyweight title against Roman Reigns. The match is set to be a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match.

Following last night’s RAW, there was no dark main event and instead, it was Reigns who stood in the ring and cut an emotional promo, thanking the fans and calling them ‘awesome’. He brought up Nashville, recollecting the hernia surgery he had a year ago in Nashville.

By the looks of it, it promises to be a good feud between the Celtic Warrior and Reigns, as this is a fresh pairing and both are of similar size. Sheamus had an ominous warning to his opponent at the upcoming TLC PPV, following last night’s RAW:

- The word coming from backstage in the WWE indicates towards the decision to have Sheamus cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, to be a last minute one as reports indicate that the WWE officials were still unsure about the plans heading into the event on Sunday afternoon.

The call to have Sheamus defeat Reigns for the world title he had just won was said to be taken a few hours before the show aired. The WWE officials still do want Roman to win the title, but Dav Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that they don’t want Reigns to win the title and still be booed.

The plan might be for Reigns to be built up with ongoing angles and out-of-the-ring appearances before having the title be put on him. With Sheamus being in his 3rd world title reign, the plan is for him to hold on to the title at least till the Royal Rumble.
