The excitement in the air is palpable, even though the NXT Universe at Full Sail seems rather quiet and unenthusiastic on NXT TV, nowadays. As we inch closer to NXT Takeover: WarGames next month, we know that the men and women on this roster will pull out all stops and deliver a real winner.

This week of NXT action saw a big return and a powerful statement being made at the end of the show. We had a lot of storylines move forward and a massive match announced for next week, which should have long-term implications for the fate of the entire roster.

Without further ado, it's time to note down five points from this week's edition of NXT. Let's mull over each of them, and consider how they can play out over time.

Let us know in the comments below if you're as excited about NXT Takeover: WarGames as we are.

#5 Heartfelt story and possible feud?

This was by far, the best thing in the entire episode

As we have seen time and again, while the main roster makes everything seems plastic with incredibly scripted promos, NXT, on the other hand, bases all their stories in real life. This week, we heard from current NXT Champion and former main roster superstar Drew McIntyre, about his tough road to the top of NXT.

His interview was interrupted by the sultry Zelina Vega, who simply barged in and suggested that the champion had been avoiding her client Andrade 'Cien' Almas. McIntyre was gracious and replied that he would fight anyone, anywhere at all.

Looks like we're getting this big match down the line at the following Takeover event. Considering that both men are absolutely sensational workers, we think this match could steal the entire show.

Kudos to Vega who's given a whole new coat of paint to Andrade 'Cien' Almas.
