NXT- 5 points to note (27 December, 2017)
As we've said time and again, throughout the year, Wednesday Nights are our favourite time of the week, because that is when we get to review and recap our favourite wrestling show.
This will be the final edition of NXT- 5 Points to Note for 2017, and we must say that it's been an absolute pleasure sharing these exciting sports entertainment moments with you, throughout the year. We're certain that many of our readers also have a real soft spot for NXT.
NXT has had some rough patches this year, but overall the quality of the action has been top-notch. At the same time, we're certain that the action will only get crazier when 2018 comes around because NXT is a brand that continues to evolve with time.
So, for the final time in 2017, here are 5 points to note from NXT...
#5 Every underdog has his day
Johnny Gargano wasn't even supposed to be in the tournament to crown the new Number 1 contender for Andrade 'Cien' Almas' crown. Unfortunately, an injury to The Velveteen Dream forced Johnny Wrestling to step up his game and enter the fray.
It's a good thing he did, right? Johnny Gargano went into the match as the underdog but emerged victoriously. He will go on to face NXT Champion Andrade 'Cien' Almas, with the devious Zelina Vega plotting to keep Gargano as far as possible from the championship.
Remember the two classics that Gargano and Almas have had, thus far? This match should be just as exciting.
Has WWE found its new Daniel Bryan in Gargano, at last?
