One last gasp or blaming a scapegoat? 3 Directions for Solo Sikoa after WWE SmackDown loss

In his second attempt to win the Undisputed WWE title, Solo Sikoa lost to Cody Rhodes in a Steel Cage match on the season premiere of SmackDown. Despite both matches carrying stipulations, the new Tribal Chief was unable to bring the gold back to The Bloodline. While he led a post-match attack on The American Nightmare, he didn't leave SmackDown on top.

After another disappointing loss to Rhodes, Sikoa and Jacob Fatu asked General Manager Nick Aldis for a tag team match against Rhodes and Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. The match was later made official.

That appears to be Sikoa's immediate path forward, but he could also do one of the next three things after another big loss.

#3. He could continue his pursuit of Cody and the Undisputed WWE Championship

One trend with Solo Sikoa that has continued on the main roster is a continual pursuit of title shots he feels entitled to after losing multiple times.

This happened when he went after the North American title and lost in every attempt to win the belt. It was only after he joined The Bloodline on the main roster that he won the title - for a whole week.

Solo has done the same thing as the new Tribal Chief. Under Bloodline rules at SummerSlam, he lost to Cody Rhodes. It was his stipulation, and he lost.

He can blame Roman Reigns all he wants, but he also continually dared Roman to come back to challenge him. Since he's a delusional villain, fans can expect Sikoa to keep pursuing the Undisputed WWE Championship.

#2. Bolster the numbers in the Bloodline

Since two people - Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns - bested the four-man Bloodline on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa may try to bolster his group again.

The Tribal Heir's side continually had the numbers advantage but Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa are more like fodder against higher-level opponents. Sikoa might finally opt to bring Hikuleo into the fold.

He's physically the biggest member who could be added at the moment. Fatu is the group's enforcer and heater, but Hikuleo is bigger than Jacob. He's also the younger brother of Tonga and Loa and would likely be loyal to them and their mantras.

#1. Solo Sikoa could look for a scapegoat to blame

Jacob Fatu won the WWE Tag Team Championship with Tama Tonga, but Solo Sikoa forced Fatu to relinquish the title belt to Tonga Loa. At every turn, The Samoan Werewolf has proven loyalty to his Tribal Chief.

He stands behind him in the ring and always listens to Solo's orders. After that edict, Solo made Fatu his personal enforcer and protector. If someone lays a hand on him, he'll blame Fatu.

Fatu is also growing in popularity with casual WWE fans. The more Solo Sikoa cannot accomplish his goals, the more he'll start to take out his frustrations on his enforcer.

He's already had to pull The Samoan Werewolf away from confrontations initiated by Cody and Roman Reigns. Cody said Fatu was worthy of a title shot while Roman called him into the cage on SmackDown.
