Opinion: Bray Wyatt should accept R-Truth's US Title open challenge on SmackDown Live
WWE announced via their Instagram handle that the United States Champion, R-Truth will defend his United States Championship against any Superstar in the locker room who wants a shot at the title.
While a lot of members of the WWE Universe expect Andrade or Rey Mysterio to accept the open challenge, it should be Bray Wyatt who should make his shocking return to battle with R-Truth for the United States Championship.
Bray Wyatt has been off WWE TV because the WWE Creative reportedly does not have a plan for the Eater of the World currently. His former tag team partner, Matt Hardy made his return to in-ring competition last week on SmackDown Live where he teamed up his brother Jeff Hardy to take on the team of Sheamus and Cesaro.

Also, the former member of Wyatt Family, Rowan made his return from injury to join forces with the WWE Champion, The New Daniel Bryan on SmackDown Live. So, it is surprising that the Creative team has no plans for the leader of the Wyatt Family.
With R-Truth's current United States Championship reign being nothing short of a disaster, WWE can have Bray Wyatt return this week on Tuesday as the surprise opponent for R-Truth.
A newly rejuvenated Bray Wyatt can even win the United States Championship from R-Truth and begin his reign of terror on the blue brand. With so many talented NXT Superstars like Aleister Black and the members of SAnitY on the main roster, Bray Wyatt can elevate the prestige of the United States Championship by feuding with them.
The United States Championship is in its worst condition currently and WWE needs to put the belt on someone who can make the title prestigious once again. Bray Wyatt can do that job to perfection given the success he had on SmackDown Live in 2016-17. Thus, Wyatt should be revealed as R-Truth's opponent this week on SmackDown.
