Opinion: Should Hulk Hogan return to WWE?
Hulk Hogan was fired by WWE in 2015 after he told Vince McMahon that tape was about to be released to the public with he making racial slurs. Hogan was upset with his daughter Brooke dating a black man and said the n-word several times before saying, "I guess we're all a little racist."
Hogan's firing was very much just, however, Hogan has since apologized multiple times and has had several black friends back him up in saying that he is not a racist. Hogan allegedly started saying the n-word around is black friends as a joke and pretty much got used to saying it to them because they never told him to stop. This explanation is no excuse but as the media don't seem to care anymore, many fans would still love to see Hogan return to WWE, which is something Hogan also wishes to do.
Hulk Hogan has not appeared in a WWE ring since WrestleMania 31 in 2015 where he, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash briefly reformed the NWO to aid Sting in his match and beat down from Triple H and D-Generation X. Hogan was last seen on WWE TV as a judge on the last season of WWE Tough Enough, his release occurred about a month into the contest and was replaced by The Miz.
WWE issued a statement to The Associate Press last month regarding Hulk Hogan possibly returning to the company. The statement read:
"At this time, WWE remains committed to its decision''
Thanks to Hogan's big win in the courtroom over 'GAWKER' last year, he by no means needs to return to WWE for the money, but wants to come back for his love of the company. Personally I do think enough time has past for Hogan to return to WWE in some capacity and if it doesn't happen in 2018, I doubt it will happen any time after.
