Opinion: The Best Tag Team in the World should not split at WWE Fastlane 2019

WWE should not take the predictable route

The Best Tag Team in the World will challenge the SmackDown Live tag team champions, the Usos this Sunday at WWE Fastlane.

The team of Shane McMahon and the Miz had first won the SmackDown tag team championships on the Royal Rumble show, where they ended the reign of the Bar.

Jimmy and Jey then became the new No.1 contenders for the championships and they even won the titles at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

While WWE has done away with the rematch clause, Shane McMahon announced this match as the Fastlane show will take place in Miz's home state of Ohio.

WWE Universe is well aware that there will be no title change in this match as the creative team has planned a match between Shane O'Mac and the A-Lister for WrestleMania 35.

This seems to be a straight forward storyline that everyone knows will end with the A-Lister's hand raised as the Prodigal Son had earlier stolen his spotlight and had won the WWE World Cup in November.

Though I do not want the Best Tag Team in the World to become champions once again, I want them to continue as a tag team. Their run has been great thus far with the Miz and Shane O' Mac forming a cohesive unit.

The inclusion of Mr. Mizanin has also made this team a fan favorite. This is how I want the things to pan out at Fastlane.

In the middle of the match between the two teams, all the teams of the SmackDown roster would hijack the proceedings. This would result in a disqualification finish. Shane McMahon would stand confused when his dad, Vince McMahon will come out and inform him that he is not supposed to take the deserving superstars' spotlight.

He will get a huge pop from the crowd as the Chairman would heap praises on all the underused teams of SmackDown Live.

Vince would then make a blockbuster match for WrestleMania where all the teams of the blue brand (including the Hardy Boyz) would compete in a ladders match for the tag team championships.

Just imagine the likes of New Day, the Good Brothers, SAnity, the Hardy Boyz, the Colons, the Usos, the Bar and the Best Tag Team in the World, all in one match competing for the coveted titles.

This will not only serve the purpose of uplifting the prestige of the SmackDown tag team championships but also give the underutilized tag teams the exposure they deserve.

Recently, it was learned that Gallows and Anderson have disagreed to sign a new contract and this should be an alarming bell for the WWE Creative.
